Happy Halloween!Every Halloween, princess spends a long time pouring over the Halloween costume catalog that comes in the mail. This year, she wanted to be pink spiderman/girl. I had told her that she was pink supergirl last year and they look too similar for me to buy that for her. So if she wants that costume, she'll need to wear the costume from last year.
A few weeks ago, princess' day care lady asked her what she is going to be this Halloween. The day care lady recounted her conversation with princess.
"I'm going to be the same as last year." Princess said with a sigh.
"What did you wear last year?" Lady asked.
"Pink supergirl."
"Oh, that's right. So cute!"
"Mommy said she has no money to buy me another costume."
Yes. She is pink supergirl AGAIN this year. Because apparently Mommy has no money to buy her a new outfit. But then again, at least she knows that Mommy works hard for the money and let's not waste it!

You tell Supergirl that you just can't stop being a Supergirl, even if Mommy has all the money in the world!
Her teacher was most likely on your side! I would be. You know, me, the one of the free costume!
i am SO PROUD of her! You know you're doing something right when your girl at the age of 4 (she's 4 now?) knows the value of money. She's a smart lady!
The costume is too perfect for just one Halloween anyway :)
Frugality begins at an early age. Way to go! Maybe you could have her give the money that a costume would have cost to church or other charity...
