our last hoorah

This past weekend, hubby and I took Ash to Disneyland, even though we were just there just over three months ago. We wanted to take her alone on a trip somewhere before her baby sister arrives... so off we went.

This time, the trip went so much better than the last. I am once again shocked at how three months can make a huge difference in the maturity of a child.

No more fussing in lines and she was definitely more opinionated as to what she wants to do and which rides she wants to go on. She didn't want to do any ride more than once because she wants to move on to the next one.

Saturday we went to California Adventure due to our princess lunche on that we have booked for her. Which surprisingly she was happy but not ecstatic like the last time. We did all the rides in ' A Bug's World' which is tailored to kids her size and up. I remember the first time we were there, she put up a tantrum about waiting in line... which was devastating for us having to handle an out of control child in line. This time, she waited patiently and seems to understood the concept of everyone takes their turn.

That day, she refused to go back to the hotel and insisted upon going on and on in the park. Finally I had to force her to take a nap in the car with me at 5pm right before our 6 pm dinner date with relatives. (my poor hubby had to sit outside the car for an hour just people watching and catching ball game scores on his phone...)

Sunday, we started with a Minnie and friends breakfast buffet, which was alot of fun. She got to meet Minnie and various other characters. Aside from Captain Hook, which she completely freaked out ... and earned us 2 Tinker Bell pins from the staff for the tears she shed. Then after, we ventured into Disneyland and started her string of
rides with Daddy as Mommy is too big to ride in the rides now (aside from It's a small world.)

We went from Carousel (her old favorite) to Dumbo, Teacups, 'It's a small world', to the kiddie rides in Toon Town. But her favorite was the roller coaster in Toon Town by far. Even though she has a stunned look on her face as I watch her and hubby zoom by in the coaster, she exited the ride with a HUGE smile running towards me ... "Mommy! Mommy! That was FUN!"

In any case, we had a great time this trip... Ashley had lots of fun and her Mommy and Daddy are still completely exhausted! She even had a disappointed look when we left the hotel yesterday morning and had to tell her that we were going home!
