princess party

Yesterday we attended our first princess dress-up party. It was just a sight to see! All these little 3 to 5 year olds all dolled up in their favorite princess outfits sitting around putting on makeup, nail polish, combing their hair, & etc. The yard was completely transformed with princess castles, decor, dressing & makeup area.

Of course, Ashley has been looking forward to this party for over a week now. When the time finally arrived, she was so excited that she got to go in her Cinderella outfit. However, unlike the other princesses, she had to have 3 changes of outfits within the first hour upon arrival (they had lots of extra dresses for the kids too). She finally settled with the Tinker Bell outfit prancing around in full makeup and such.

It was quite a sight. Of course, the boys are playing with blow up swords and dragons. What's a princess party without princes slaying dragons? :)

Anyway, it was a blast for Ashley.

On another note, our house is finally almost complete. I can't wait to get our bedroom toys-free from all those weeks of Ashley playing only in our room. Can't wait to get everything set up to go and regain control of our home.

She also attended her first big-girl-ballet class this past Saturday. She was timid at first, but had a blast in the end. I can definitely tell that she will not be the graceful one in the class. But she enjoyed herself, so that's all that counts, right?

Overall it was a tiring weekend for me, but a fun one for her.
