"Ashley, do you love baby?"
"Yes."
"Honey, are you mad at baby?"
"No."
"Then why are you always so grumpy at the baby?"
*silence*
"Sweetie, don't be mad at the baby..."
"No, I'm mad at you!" She finally replied
Shocked, I sat there in silence
Finally I said, "but sweetie, Mommy needs to take care of baby too... she's still little. But once she gets bigger, she can do things by herself like you!"
*silence*
She then got up and walked away.

It's tough to hear when someone is mad at you, especially your own child. Being the only child, I can not imagine the hurt that she is feeling, losing and sharing the attention she gets from her parents. I hope that everyone is right that she will love having a sibling later.
