No, our house wasn't broken into... but as Ashley said, "our home is broken..."
I came home yesterday evening after picking up the kiddos to find this....
Yes, that's a down power line ya'll. ** Apparently some genius that was working at nearby construction took it down with their truck.
So with no power in the house on a warm day, I quickly bathed the kids in whatever natural light was left. Packed up the kids and dog in the car and head out to my Mom's house about 30 minutes away.
But then, 5 minutes later, we were stuck in huge traffic....
This was the cause...
Huge fire at a recycling plant....
After being stuck in traffic for 45 minutes and Courtney screaming for the last 40 minutes...

We are all so glad to be home this morning with our power restored. What an evening!

You are a champ to make it through that. When June was a baby her cry would just cut to the bone.. I'd have so much trouble listening to 40 minutes of crying.
